In Trentino, Merlot has found a particularly favorable environment and has become one of the region's more abundantly cultivated red grapes. This wine is 100% Merlot. Grapes for Cavit Merlot are selected primarily from the vineyards of Trentino's Valle Lagarina (Lagarina Valley). After a traditional maceration on the skins, the wine is transferred into glass-lined or stainless steel tanks and, in outstanding vintages, is aged in oak barrels. Supple, rounded and smooth. Ruby red with violet reflections, this beguiling Merlot has luscious rich fruit flavors and tannins are consistent with premium Merlot. Cavit Merlot is a perfect companion to grilled meats and most full-flavored dishes. Serve at room temperature. (This item is available for in-store purchase only, thank you.)
