"The 2008 Duas Quintas (DQ) “Adriano Ramos Pinto” is soft and straightforward, but it has some charm, along with a touch of lushness. This is usually an uncomplicated but reliable value from year-to-year, and so, too, this year. I’ve seen proof that these can hold a reasonable time, but I’ll say here, although not perhaps as strongly as with the white Adriano reviewed this issue, that this is a wine that will drink better closer to release and may gradually decline not too long thereafter, however long it holds. As it evolves, it gets past its sweet, soft, lush demeanor and shows a little structure and provides some grip on the finish. It is easygoing and laid back, but nice enough to make everyone happy, a wine likely to be a big hit at a party. Drink now-2015." -RP 86 pts
