80% Grenache, 6% Syrah, 4% Mourvedre, 10% other authorized varieties. Pegau's flagship wine and one of the most consistently brillant bottlings in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The name recalls the early days, referring to the wine reserved for the family, as most was sold in bulk. It can be enjoyed the year after bottling or cellared for 10-50 years, depending on the vintage. 6,300 cases produced. The Wine Advocate 96-98pts stating, "I was even more impressed by the 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Reserve than the 2019. Boasting crazily complex floral scents, garrigue, raspberries and cherries, this is one incredibly perfumed example of Pegau.
