It's been said that Nero d'Avola is a cousin to Shiraz, and this could well prove the point. Ripe and dried black fruits greet the nose and give way to a raisiny/jammy quality typical of good Nero d'Avola. After aerating the wine for an hour, the aromas bloom into a bouquet of dark flowers and baking spices. Pair the Colosi with beef, osso bucco, steak, or roast duck for a perfect dinner.
