100% Chardonnay from the Adrianna and Domingo vineyards, high altitude vineyards that have been tended by the four generations of the Catena Family. A highly aromatic and elegant wine that showcases the terroir Mendoza is renowned for. The fruit from the Adrianna vineyard, which makes up 80% of this bottling, has a purity of flavors and a minerality that is particular to this vineyard and can not be found anywhere else in Mendoza. Nearby Domingo vineyard has gravel soil which adds layers of texture and fruit flavors. Whole clusters are pressed, 100% fermented in 500 L French oak barrels with natural yeasts and wild yeasts, then aged for 14 months in French oak with no malolactic fermentation. First, second and third use barrels are used.
