Aventinus features a full aroma, displaying notes of clove, wheat grains, fruits, caramel and traces of alcohol. The sweet, fruity aspects transfer directly to the flavor where light cocoa and dark malts leave a rich feeling on the palate. The flavor is complex and features many layers; the alcohol becomes more evident as the beer beings to warm. Light caramel notes also help to round it out, giving rise to a superb balance between the myriad intense flavors. A light, tingly sensation is created and allows the finish to be just short of dry.
